Many people find that working with a coach helps them to become active or take their fitness to a new level. Working with a coach can provide:
- workouts tailored to your needs and goals
- accountability
- support and motivation
- improve your fitness and performance
While I’m a running and triathlon coach, I’m on a 2,500 mile bike trip right now, which makes it hard to coach new clients! But if you are interested in learning more about the benefits of coaching, contact me via e-mail at barbara@fitterafter50.com and I’ll help you get connected!

I’ve been looking at your photos for years and just connected to your blog. Barbara, you amaze me. I love this and look forward to reading more! Xoxo Donna
I find your story very interesting. I’m currently 51and have run 4 marathons. I would like to do one in every state. I feel I’m behind the 8 ball . Is there any advice you can share to get going?
Sorry to take so long to respond! There is no behind the 8 ball! Just map out a game plan for 2020 and get started. Train for a spring/early summer marathon, and schedule one 3-6 weeks later. Do the same in the fall. You’ll knock out 4, and learn how your body deals with 2 races reasonably close together.
Join the 50 States Marathon Facebook group and the Marathon Maniacs Facebook group – you can ask questions about races and training, see where other people will be and get inspiration.
Good luck!
